Because nothing here comes off a conveyor belt. Every single kit is handmade by us - a husband and wife team right here at home, named after our daughter Kaylee who inspired it all. We pour every mold fresh to order, which means what arrives at your door was made specifically for your child, not sitting in a warehouse somewhere. We care about what goes into every kit because our own kids use them too. When you shop with us, you're not just buying a craft kit, you're supporting a family who puts real love into every order.
Since everything is made to order, most items can be remade on request. If something catches your eye but shows as unavailable, send us a message and we'll let you know what's possible.
We're always happy to hear from you! Reach out through the contact form on our website and we'll get back to you within 1–2 business days. We're a small family team so we read and respond to every single message personally.
Each piece is handcrafted using plaster of Paris. We mix, pour, and set every mold by hand, then wash and dry each one before it's packed. Every order is made fresh.
Tempera paint is a fast-drying, water-based paint commonly used for kids’ crafts, school art projects, and paint kits. It’s popular because it’s colorful, affordable, and usually washable.
What makes tempera paint different?
• Water-based → easy cleanup with soap and water
• Fast drying → dries quicker than acrylic paint
• Matte finish → not shiny when dry
• Kid-friendly → non-toxic versions are widely available
• Bright colors → works great for crafts and paint kits
Best surfaces for tempera paint
Tempera works best on:
• Paper
• Cardboard
• Poster board
• Wood crafts
• Plaster figures
• Some canvases (for decorative use)
It’s commonly used in paint-your-own kits like the ones from Kaylee’s Kustomizables because it’s easy for kids to use and washes off hands and tables more easily than acrylic paint.
